About the role
Role Description:
The CNC Programmer is a full-time, on-site role located in Waukesha, WI. This role is responsible for creating, reviewing, and optimizing CNC programs for milling and machining operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe production. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, selecting tools and fixtures, setting machining parameters, and collaborating with machinists and engineers to resolve production issues. The CNC Programmer will perform test runs, validate first-piece quality, adjust programs as needed, and maintain documentation for all setups and processes. The position also involves continuous improvement activities, troubleshooting equipment or program-related issues, and supporting adherence to quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Qualifications:
Strong CNC Programming and Programming skills for creating, modifying, and optimizing machine programs.
Hands-on Machining and Milling skills for setting up, operating, and validating CNC equipment.
Proficiency in Technical Drawing interpretation, including blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
Experience with CNC controls and software (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, or similar) and CAD/CAM tools is preferred.
Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, feeds and speeds, and best practices for precision machining.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively with production and engineering teams.
Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Relevant technical diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in CNC programming or machining; prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
