They are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service, developing technically, and building a long-term career within a collaborative public accounting firm. This role offers a hybrid work environment after onboarding, strong mentorship, leadership development, CPA support, tuition reimbursement, summer hours, and clear opportunities for advancement.
What You'll Do: Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates. Ensure client compliance while identifying tax planning opportunities to minimize current and future tax liabilities. Conduct tax research and prepare technical memorandums and client correspondence. Assist with ASC 740 (FAS 109/FIN 48) tax provisions and tax accrual engagements. Work closely with Tax Managers, Directors, and Partners on complex tax engagements. Develop strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service. Mentor and support junior staff while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Utilize tax preparation, research, and workflow software to maximize engagement efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • RequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting 3+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Experience preparing individual and business tax returns
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills
  • PreferredCPA or actively pursuing CPA certification
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation
  • Experience with UltraTax, GoFileRoom, GoSystem RS, or similar tax software

Busy Season: Approximately 52–56 hours per week during peak filing periods, with increased flexibility and hybrid scheduling outside of tax season.
