About the role

Job Title Support the Division staff in the administration of various accounts (i.e. Agencies, IRAs, DB and DC Plans, etc.) according to the required policies and procedures, while maintaining the highest standards of service for the client. Ensure accurate accounting records are maintained, assist with the completion of discretionary distribution requests, annual administrative reviews, special account reviews, and other functions, as needed. Administer various retirement accounts while maintaining the highest standards of service for the client. Assist the Business Development Officers and Retirement Service Officers as needed. Effectively provide documentation and research while maintaining direct communication with attorneys, accountants, beneficiaries, and plan administrators of accounts to establish and promote current accounts and lines of business according to the Division guidelines. Ensure that all customer inquiries are responded to accurately and promptly, and that all customer reports, remittances and correspondence are accurate and timely. Prepare and present all documentation to open and/or close accounts as required by Fiduciary Committee and applicable policies and procedures. Report and present required information and requests to Fiduciary Committee for assigned accounts. Complete administrative reviews, distribution forms, etc., responses to audit questions, exam or compliance issues as required from time to time. Under the supervision of management, assist with recordkeeping duties to ensure deposits, distributions and participant statements are completed in a timely manner. Resolve problems reported by clients and others and seek guidance from management as appropriate. Pursue continued educational opportunities as approved by management and maintain all professional certifications to gain and maintain knowledge and proficiency. This position requires no supervision of employees. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is frequently required to: 1) Type or otherwise work with fingers; 2) Talk expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers or clients accurately, loudly, or quickly; 3) Hearing – perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with/without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make the discriminations in sound. 4) Specific vision abilities required by this job include viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading, along with travel as required. Sedentary work with some walking and standing; may require occasionally lifting of up to 10 pounds and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Occasional travel may be required. Communication Proficiency (Oral and Written), Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Products), Interpersonal Skills, Customer/Client Focus, Deadline Orientated, Analytical Skills, Ethical Conduct A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, however, in lieu of the degree we will accept a minimum of two-year degree with two (2) years direct or related experience in finance, accounting, trust or retirement services. Strong knowledge of computer software such as Word, Excel, etc is a must, along with effective communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
