About the role
Each week, Comfort Food Community picks up and distributes food to and from our partners all across our service area! We rely on volunteers to ride along with our driver and assist in loading, unloading, and organizing the food. This volunteer opportunity is ideal for someone who can sit in the car for long stretches of time and lift up to 50 lbs. You will have the opportunity to meet many of the people who make up CFC's food access network as well as the individuals who benefit from the work we do here at the Food & Farm Hub! If you have questions about this volunteer opportunity, contact Anna at anna@comfortfoodcommunity.org
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
