About the internship Our organization is seeking a Photo Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both finance and production within the creative industry. As an intern, you will work closely with Mark & 1st photo assistant and collaborate with the production team on major campaigns for fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment clients such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney, HBO, and more. What You'll Learn: Gain insight into logistical and creative aspects of photoshoot production Develop proficiency with various camera systems and lighting equipment Acquire in depth knowledge of analog (film) photography Familiarize yourself with software such as Capture One and Photoshop amongst other Receive one-on-one instruction from our experienced team Build relationships within the industry Opportunities of on location shooting experience with global brands or artists
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with Mark Seliger, his first assistant and the rest of our team Assist with on-set tasks, including lighting and camera equipment setup Support production team on miscellaneous tasks for shoot prep Daily support on equipment organization and maintenance Help photographer on printing and retouching tasks Assist Studio Manager on general tasks relating to the studio Engage in darkroom operations Support first assistant on packing and commuting for travel shoots Run errands for studio as deemed necessary Travel on location shoots (must have a valid passport)
Qualifications:
Candidates should be comfortable spending long periods on their feet, loading/unloading vehicles, moving cases and stands, and assisting with studio and location setups. The ability to safely lift and carry up to 60 lbs is required.
