The Clary Group LLCThe Clary Group is seeking an experienced Director of Electrical Construction to lead and oversee electrical operations across our utility-scale solar construction projects. This position will be responsible for electrical project execution, field leadership, quality, safety, scheduling, workforce planning, and coordination with project management, clients, subcontractors, and engineering teams. The Director of Electrical Construction will provide leadership to electrical superintendents and field teams while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead electrical construction operations across multiple utility-scale solar projects. Manage and mentor electrical superintendents, foremen, and field leadership. Oversee electrical scopes including DC collection, MV systems, inverters/PCS, grounding, communications, testing, and commissioning support. Develop manpower, equipment, and execution plans to meet project schedules and production goals. Coordinate electrical activities with project management, engineering, procurement, and mechanical/civil operations. Monitor project productivity, quality, costs, schedule, and overall electrical performance. Ensure compliance with NEC requirements, project specifications, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes. Assist with estimating, constructability reviews, project planning, and development of electrical scopes and budgets. Support troubleshooting and resolution of field, design, and installation issues.
Qualifications:
Extensive electrical construction experience, preferably within utility-scale solar or renewable energy. Proven experience managing large electrical construction teams and multiple projects. Strong knowledge of NEC, MV systems, solar electrical systems, testing, and commissioning. Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel to project sites as required. Electrical license or relevant certifications preferred.
