About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Executive / VP of Operations to join one of New York City's leading electrical contractors as they continue to grow across the Tri-State area. With major projects currently underway across Manhattan and the outer boroughs and a strong backlog of work, this is an opportunity to take a senior leadership seat with a business delivering some of the city's largest and most technically complex electrical projects. Typical project values range from $30M to $100M+, spanning the commercial high-rise, healthcare and institutional sectors. The Role: As Project Executive / VP of Operations, you'll oversee a portfolio of large-scale electrical projects and the teams delivering them. Reporting directly to ownership, you'll be responsible for operational performance, financial results, and client relationships across the portfolio, while developing the next generation of project leadership. This is a high-visibility position with real influence on the company's strategy and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee a portfolio of large-scale electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers, APMs, and field leadership Own portfolio-level P&L, forecasting, cash flow, and cost control Drive change order strategy, contract negotiations, and risk management Build and maintain senior-level relationships with GCs, CMs, owners, and engineers Support estimating and business development on major pursuits Set and enforce operational standards for safety, quality, and project delivery What Makes This Role Unique: Join one of New York City's most respected electrical contractors Lead high-profile projects across the commercial, healthcare, data center, and institutional sectors Direct line to ownership with a genuine voice in company direction Strong backlog providing long-term stability Executive-level compensation with an excellent performance-based bonus structure Clear path to further leadership
Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in electrical construction, including 5+ years in a Senior PM, Project Executive, or Operations leadership role Demonstrated success in P&L ownership, forecasting, and contract negotiation Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred Why Join?
