Company Description: Southern Fleet Repair & Logistics, LLC provides comprehensive heavy equipment repair, service, for commercial fleets. The company offers commercial fleet repairs and maintenance services. In addition, the team delivers custom fabrication and building services to meet unique equipment and fleet requirements. Applicants can expect to work in a hands-on, service-focused environment supporting a wide range of commercial and Medium-duty vehicles. We maintain on a regular basis's construction equipment and vehicles.
Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nashville, TN. The position focuses on performing routine and complex maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and commercial fleet vehicles, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and component replacement. Daily responsibilities include conducting inspections, handling preventive maintenance services, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The role may involve working with large tires, assisting with transport-related repair needs, and supporting custom fabrication projects as required. The individual in this role will collaborate with other technicians and service staff to prioritize workloads, maintain accurate service records, and communicate clearly with supervisors about equipment status and repair timelines.
Qualifications: Strong maintenance skills, including general Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair capabilities for commercial and medium-duty vehicles. Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Hands-on background working with Heavy Equipment, such as trucks, trailers, and construction or industrial machinery. Proficient Troubleshooting skills for identifying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implementing effective solutions. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to fleet and heavy equipment operations. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment. Relevant technical certification or vocational training in diesel technology, automotive repair, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in fleet maintenance, heavy equipment repair, or a similar service role is beneficial. Candidate must have personal Tools and small testing equipment to perform job. Pay depends on Years and experience.
