Description JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Access Manager, the Access Specialist assists members by issuing and receiving library materials, locating books and other materials, managing member's library accounts, issuing library cards, providing information about library accounts and services, assisting with self-service equipment and technology, and assisting with basic collection maintenance. This position will be assigned to the Almonte Library located at 2727 SW 59th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73119. The ideal candidate should be available to work all hours the library is open, including some weekends and evenings. Current need requires availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Wednesday 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, in addition to one weekend shift a month. This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. *Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the library. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED; and One or more years of customer service experience.
HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: Experience with an automated circulation system. Strong desire to work with and help people.
