Assistant Supervisor - Motor Line Department: Management Employment Type: Full Time Location: US - Oklahoma - Wilburton Reporting To: Brick Caldwell Compensation: $28.89 / hour Description Responsible for supervising production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Ensures smooth production operation during shift and shift changeovers.
Key Responsibilities: Supervises production line operation according to plant policies and procedures. Trains and coaches production line employees. Drafts shift schedules to include workstation assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignments, backup for absent employees, and shift rotations. Coordinates production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers. Maintains quality control, making corrections to GFIs as necessary during the shift to produce product within specifications. Rejects product outside of specifications. Conducts random process audits within the department as well as other departments. Ensures a clean and safe work area. Completes shift paperwork. Assists in production as necessary. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Skills Knowledge and Expertise Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with vendors, internal and external customers, the general public, and other employees of the organization. Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Writes routine reports and correspondence. Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides numbers (using currency and other forms of measurement). Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions. Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature. Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation. Frequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees to a moderate degree. Completes some moderately repetitive tasks. Uses noncomplex machines and equipment (calculators, copy/fax machines, etc.). Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent (required). Associate's degree in business management or a related field (preferred). One to three years of related technical experience. Computer Skills Intermediate: ADP, JD Edwards, word processing/typing.
