About the role
A growing financial institution is seeking an experienced Financial & Regulatory Reporting Manager to oversee key regulatory and external reporting activities. This individual will work closely with senior Finance leadership and play an important role across financial reporting, regulatory reporting, technical accounting, and controls.
Responsibilities:
- Lead preparation and review of quarterly and annual bank regulatory filings
- Oversee reporting requirements for the bank and its holding company
- Prepare and review SEC filings, including quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures
- Support regulatory capital calculations and reporting
- Research complex U.S. GAAP and technical accounting matters
- Monitor and implement new accounting and regulatory reporting requirements
- Prepare technical accounting memos and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness
- Maintain appropriate controls over financial and regulatory reporting
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting processes
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 8+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience 5+ years of bank regulatory reporting experience strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with Call Reports, bank holding company reporting, regulatory capital, and related regulatory filings
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and banking regulations
- Experience preparing or reviewing 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and related public-company disclosures
- Familiarity with SOX/internal controls, XBRL, and financial reporting systems
- Banking or broader financial services experience strongly preferredCPA preferred
- Prior management or team leadership experience preferred
- Strong technical accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and work effectively with auditors, regulators, and senior stakeholders
