About the Company: Leading home products company supplying large-volume off-price stores. Industry Consumer Goods Type Privately Held
About the Role: The Company is in search of a VP of Product Development with a strong background in home, seasonal soft and hard goods, and gifting. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating and operationalizing product strategy, driving alignment across teams, and championing format innovation to ensure market relevance. This role requires an insights-driven approach, including comprehensive category and assortment analyses to identify growth opportunities and refine product strategy. The VP will also be involved in product line planning, retail readiness, and mitigating channel conflict, as well as supporting the development of the product development team leads. Applicants must have a minimum of 10-15 years' experience in a design or product development role within the home products and gifting sector, with a proven track record of managing a team and working with overseas factories. The role demands a trained eye for product and trend, the ability to work with planograms, and create assortments. The VP will be expected to foster cross-functional collaboration, particularly with the design and sales teams, and to lead process development to enhance performance and efficiency. Experience in fostering an environment of creativity and experimentation, as well as a forward-thinking, trend-conscious approach grounded in commercial viability, is essential.
