About the role

Job Description: Snelling is recruiting an experienced Inventory/Receiving Specialist. This position will be responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and distributing inventory and materials while helping maintain accurate inventory records. Job Responsibilities of Inventory/Receiving Specialist: Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials and shipments Verify quantities and items against packing slips and purchase orders Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts Pull, stage, and distribute materials as needed Organize and maintain a clean and orderly warehouse/inventory area Assist with shipping and preparing materials for delivery Communicate with internal departments regarding inventory and material needs Occasionally travel to Oxford and Gadsden, AL to assist with inventory and receiving needs Safely load, unload, and move materials as needed Perform other warehouse and inventory-related duties as assigned Qualifications Needed for Inventory/Receiving Specialist: Previous inventory, receiving, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to accurately track inventory and paperwork Dependable and able to work independently Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to lift and move materials as required Forklift experience is a plus
