About the role

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and lead our construction operations across the state of Missouri. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring project execution excellence, and aligning field operations with company strategy. The Operations Manager will provide leadership across multiple projects and teams, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Eastern Builders' quality standards. This individual will play a critical role in team development, process optimization, and regional growth initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership Oversee daily operations across multiple construction projects throughout Missouri. Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams. Align regional operations with company goals, standards, and strategic initiatives. Project Oversight Monitor project performance related to schedule, budget, quality, and safety. Support teams in resolving complex project challenges and mitigation strategies. Ensure consistency in project execution, documentation, and reporting standards.Team Leadership & Development Mentor and develop project teams to strengthen leadership capabilities and career growth. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture. Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of key operational staff in the region. Client & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners. Participate in key client meetings and support business development efforts.Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business opportunities. Process Improvement & Compliance Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, systems, and workflows. Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain strong working knowledge of Missouri-specific construction regulations and practices. Risk Management Identify operational risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies. Support resolution of claims, disputes, and project issues as they arise.Ensure all projects adhere to contractual obligations and compliance standards. Financial & Budget Management Review and manage project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and profitability. Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and overall project margins. Partner with Preconstruction and Finance teams to support accurate planning and forecasting.Ideal Candidate ProfileMinimum of 7–10 years of experience in commercial construction, with leadership experience at the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams across a regional footprint. Strong understanding of construction operations, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, scheduling tools). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Experience in government contracting methods including collaborative delivery methods like CMAR, Design-Build, and IDIQ/Job Order Contracting, or similar delivery methods. Familiarity with Missouri construction markets, subcontractor networks, and regulatory environment. Demonstrated success in scaling operations or opening new region.Reports To Project Manager / Director of Operations Expectations Demonstrate strong leadership and accountability across all operational functions.
