About the role
Job Summary:
This is a hands-on, field-oriented project management role focused on facilities project coordination, vendor management, procurement, project tracking, stakeholder communication, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, working directly with vendors and contractors, visiting different facilities, resolving project issues, and providing clear progress updates to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate approximately 30–40 facilities projects/workstreams simultaneously.
Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and help resolve project issues, delays, and other hurdles.
Coordinate facilities repair, maintenance, renovation, and improvement projects.
Obtain and evaluate vendor bids and coordinate work with selected vendors.
Support task orders and procurement processes associated with facilities projects.
Track project scope, schedules, milestones, progress, issues, and completion.
Prepare and maintain project status updates, progress reports, and project documentation.
Communicate regularly with Police, Fire, Facilities, and other key stakeholders.
Coordinate onsite inspections and follow up with stakeholders after work is completed.
Ensure vendors meet project timelines, requirements, and agreed-upon costs.
Identify potential project risks and proactively recommend solutions.
Provide project updates and recommendations to leadership.
Travel between multiple facilities throughout Colorado Springs based on project requirements.
Work independently while managing competing priorities across multiple active projects
