PHG also has a buyside M&A arm where it works with blue-chip multibillion dollar private equity firms to originate and execute deals.
Role Description:
This role serves as a strategic financial partner and trusted advisor to a portfolio clients, providing fractional CFO services that drive business growth and profitability. You'll work with team members to support the entire FP&A function from annual strategic planning and budget development to monthly financial advisory and performance insights. This is a hands-on CFO role where you'll roll up your sleeves to build financial models and reporting packages while also serving as a strategic thought partner to business owners and leadership teams. You'll translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies, challenge assumptions, and guide critical decision-making. This position is remote and requires availability during U.S. business hours.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in FP&A, financial due diligence, or fractional CFO/advisory roles Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)Expert in Microsoft Excel and Power Point Prior experience independently developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting models and monthly reporting packages (Power Point)Familiarity with Quick Books preferred Solid understanding of facility services / construction accounting processes (job costing, revenue recognition / WIP adjustment, drop shipped inventory model, and in-house vs. subcontracted labor structuring)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Serve as partner and advisor to portfolio of clients, building trusted relationships with owners and leadership teams Support CFO-level FP&A work: budgets, forecasts, cash flow models, and variance analysis; and help prepare insights for strategic planning conversations with owners Develop and maintain excel based budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling tools for clients Develop Power Point based monthly performance reports to provide critical insights in delivering compelling strategic recommendations that will drive improved performance and optimal resource allocation Lead ad hoc analysis as needed, drive process and system improvements to ensure continued evolution of efficiencies Execute operational tasks independently (e.g., development of tools / templates for client use, tasks requested by client, slide deck development, etc.)Contribute to firm-wide best practices, tools, and methodologies Quality check one’s own work product to ensure that it addresses the subject question, flows logically, and is free from error Support client M&A and succession planning Support automation efforts and AI leverage across client delivery and internal operations
