Benefits/Perks:Competitive PayPaid Vacation and HolidayOvertime Available Subject to ApprovalYear End Bonus Subject to Company Performance and Job ReviewOngoing Training OpportunitiesA Successful FASTSIGNS Graphics Designer / Sign Production Specialist Will:Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output that can be printed and mounted to a substrate or weeded, cut and appliedComplete or modify designs from customer drawings, art files, or exact output of customer-provided design for output to mediaDetermine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements.Inspect jobs for accuracy prior to production. Ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurateMaintain customer logo library; convert graphic filesFollow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or mediumPrepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etcWeed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of imagesOperate and maintain large format printer, plotting machine, and laminatorPerform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standardsPerform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed piecesReport inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchiseeInteract with Customer by phone or face to faceClean and maintain work areasIdeal Qualifications for FASTSIGNS Graphics Designer / Sign Production Specialist:2-3 years of BOTH Graphic Design Experience and Sign Production ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalentProficient in Adobe Illustrator, Onyx Print SoftwareAbility to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomouslyDetermine the best output method based on the customer's needsSit and view a computer screen for long periods (4 hours or more)Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality workAbility to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)Ability to lift 50 or more poundsFlexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrateAbility to use light power equipmentDo you enjoy working with people?
