Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: McGregor, Texas
The Opportunity: We are recruiting a Production Supervisor on behalf of a leading provider of specialized infrastructure and custom-engineered equipment for diverse industries. This position oversees daily operations on the production floor, managing personnel and resources to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality manufacturing output. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating with internal teams, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and actively developing talent on the floor.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise a team of welders, fitters, fabricators, painters, and helpers across day and night shifts. Serve as the main point of contact for production personnel, addressing daily needs and resolving issues. Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and safety training (including translation) of new hires. Track and submit weekly timesheets for direct hires and contractors, and conduct mid-year and year-end performance evaluations. Develop and communicate daily job priorities to ensure schedule adherence. Order and manage weekly materials and supplies, coordinating with the night shift supervisor to ensure alignment. Schedule key production processes such as PWHT (Post Weld Heat Treatment) and delivery dates. Partner with Project Managers to provide accurate labor hour estimates and work with engineers to troubleshoot production challenges. Build and refine SAW (Submerged Arc Welding) setups to optimize welding time and productivity. Develop and implement training programs to certify new welders and oversee specialized processes. Ensure adherence to company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role in a manufacturing or industrial setting. High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications a plus. Hands-on knowledge of welding and fabrication processes (SAW, MIG, TIG, etc.).Experience managing schedules, materials, and personnel in a production environment. Proficiency in using basic power tools and interpreting fabrication drawings. Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Excel, timekeeping systems, etc.).Comfortable with basic math and tape measure reading. Able to work 12-hour shifts, lift 50 lbs, and climb ladders as needed. Bilingual (English/Spanish), previous experience with ASME-certified fabrication, and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing preferred.
