About the role

Project AccountantProject Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities for up to development projects.Responsibilities:Perform full-cycle accounting for assigned construction projectsReview contractor invoices for accuracy and proper codingTrack job costs, commitments, and accrued expensesPrepare loan draw support schedules and assist with lender submissionsMonth end close, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliationsPrepare project-level financial statements and management reportsPartner with Development to understand project budgets and timelinesAssist with interim, quarter and year end audits, tax support, and lender reportingProvide support and assistance to the shared services treasury and A/P teams as neededActively support continuous improvement and technology initiatives to enhance efficiency and ensure strong internal controlsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceStrong US GAAP foundation with a minimum of 2-5 years of real estate construction accounting experienceYardi Voyager experience including Construction Manager module strongly preferredAdvanced Excel skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlinesMust be a detail-oriented, self-starter with good oral and written communication and strong time management skills.Must be a team player willing to support and assist others when called upon.For immediate consideration, email your resume to thyra@souwestaccountingresources.com
