Job Description:
Orange County Foot & Ankle Institute is seeking a dependable and professional Bilingual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) to join our podiatry practice in Santa Ana, California.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and assist with check-in and rooming
- Take and document vital signs
- Update patient medical information and records
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms
- Assist the physician during patient visits and procedures
- Schedule appointments and respond to patient calls
- Assist with insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations
- Communicate clearly with patients in both English and Spanish
- Maintain cleanliness and follow infection-control procedures
- Support front-office and back-office duties as needed
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient service skills
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and office software
- Ability to multitask in a busy medical office environment
- Professional attitude and ability to work well with a healthcare team
