About the role
Offering a part-time remote opportunity, the Sociology Adjunct Faculty will teach up to 3 courses per term, providing a student-centered learning environment and engaging in instructional best practices for adult learners.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction in synchronous or asynchronous seminars while maintaining virtual office hours
Manage student correspondence and lead discussions to foster an inclusive learning environment
Submit accurate reports on student grades and progress, ensuring compliance with academic policies
Required qualifications:
Master's degree specifically in Sociology
1-3 years of related practical/professional experience, preferably in online higher education teaching
Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online education software
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision
Commitment to student success and the ability to engage and inspire students
