About the role

This is a design engineering role with some supervisory requirements. The candidate will research, plan, and design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems, and direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.
Responsibilities Include:  Design new products and modify existing designs.  Assist in resolution of Manufacturing, Assembly, Outsourcing, Warranty and Rectification issues.  Provides guidance to manufacturing and assembly during initial new product build.  Actively research and analyze competitive offerings.  Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, required resources, cost effectiveness, and market demand for new products.  Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve product positioning and market competitiveness for company and develops recommendations accordingly.  Supports the development of owner’s manuals for all new products.  Supports or owns special project initiatives as directed by VP of Engineering.  Works with hand/power tools to assist in assembly, repair, or troubleshooting of machinery Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Skills & Experience:  Mechatronics Background  Experienced SolidWorks User  Packaging Equipment background a must  OEM equipment manufacturing strongly preferred. For immediate consideration - please submit your resume
