Senior Project Manager – Mechanical Construction Raleigh, NC | On-Site
Salary: $110,000–$175,000 + BonusA growing mechanical construction firm is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its team in Raleigh, NC. This individual will lead complex mechanical construction projects while working closely with clients, field teams, engineering, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical construction background and experience managing projects from planning and preconstruction through execution and closeout.
Responsibilities: Manage complex mechanical construction projects from start to finish, including HVAC, mechanical piping, plumbing, and related systems Own project budgets, forecasting, schedules, change management, and overall project performance Coordinate with field leadership, engineering and design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation Develop project execution plans and coordinate materials and equipment with construction schedules Manage subcontractor scopes, contracts, schedules, and changes Maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, vendors, and other project partners Support jobsite safety planning and compliance Communicate regularly with field personnel and internal operations teams Provide leadership and mentorship to other members of the project management team Qualifications 5+ years of Project Management experience in mechanical construction Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical piping systems; plumbing experience is a plus Experience managing significant commercial or industrial mechanical projects Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and project controls Ability to work effectively with both field and office teams Strong client-facing and communication skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent mechanical construction experience will also be considered Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, P6, Viewpoint, Autodesk, or similar construction technology is helpful
