A fast-growing organisation operating acrosstechnology lifecycle, IT services and managed servicesis looking for a commercially drivenVP of Business Developmentto lead its sales organisation and accelerate growth. This is a genuineplayer-coach leadership opportunity, ideal for someone who enjoys building teams, winning strategic enterprise business and creating the processes needed to scale. You’ll have the opportunity to work with major enterprise organisations, data centre operators, technology partners, VARs and MSPs while playing a key role in shaping the company's commercial strategy. As VP of Business Development, you will take ownership of the sales function, combining strategic leadership with hands‑on involvement in major opportunities. You will: Lead, coach and scalea high-performing sales and business development team. Act as aplayer-coach, remaining personally involved in strategic opportunities and key customer conversations. Build and maintain relationships withenterprise customers, data centres, technology providers, VARs and MSPs .Own the sales pipeline, forecasting, revenue performance and commercial metrics. Develop ascalable, repeatable sales processthat supports continued growth. Identify new markets, customers and commercial opportunities. Partner closely with Marketing to improve lead generation and conversion. Work alongside the executive leadership team on new products, services and strategic growth initiatives. Help develop the wideraccount management, customer success and service deliveryfunctions to strengthen long-term customer relationships. Create a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement across the commercial organisation.
What you bring: We’re looking for astrategic but hands‑on sales leaderwho thrives in a growth environment. You’ll likely be someone who: Has a proven track record ofleading and scaling successful B2B sales teams .Has consistently delivered against revenue targets and closedcomplex, high-value opportunities .Enjoys being both a leader and an active contributor in important customer conversations. Understands enterprise sales cycles and knows how to build relationships that turn into long-term commercial partnerships. Is confident owningpipeline, forecasting, revenue planning and performance metrics .Is an exceptional coach who knows how to develop people and build future sales leaders. Has strong executive presence and can influence customers, partners and internal stakeholders. Brings experience acrosstechnology, IT services, managed services or another complex B2B environment .Is commercially curious, data‑driven and comfortable identifying new routes to growth. Takes ownership, moves quickly and enjoys building rather than simply maintaining an established sales operation. The ideal person will beenergetic, entrepreneurial and customer-focused, with the confidence to operate strategically while remaining close enough to the sales floor to understand what is really happening.
