About the role
Supporting the advisory team, the full-time Federal Accounting Consultant will conduct research and analysis of technical accounting, prepare federal financial statements, and ensure the accuracy of various accounting transactions in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of technical and general ledger accounting, preparing federal financial statements and notes
Verify the accuracy and validity of accounting functions and transactions, including fund balances and accounts receivable
Prepare and review documents for accuracy, maintain subsidiary ledgers, and perform reconciliations of various accounts
Required qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
Two years of experience in accounting or financial management within a CFO-level organization
Knowledge of Federal accounting concepts, regulations, and relevant financial management acts
Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST" clearance
