Feldspar & Flint LLC is a Recruiting & Staffing firm that specializes in operational strategy across core business functions. Build and grow a commercial insurance book by developing new business, expanding existing client relationships, and advising organizations on insurance and risk management solutions. This is a production-focused role backed by a full-service agency offering Commercial Insurance, Personal Insurance, and Employee Benefits.
Responsibilities: Drive new business development by building referral networks, prospecting within the market, and qualifying commercial insurance opportunities. Grow existing accounts through cross-selling and identification of additional insurance and risk management needs. Build trusted relationships with business owners, client decision-makers, carrier partners, and internal service teams. Conduct risk assessments, evaluate coverage needs, and recommend appropriate insurance and risk management solutions. Develop new business and renewal strategies while coordinating documentation, submissions, proposals, and coverage placement. Present and sell new business and renewal proposals directly to prospective and existing clients. Advise clients throughout the relationship, including addressing coverage questions and helping resolve complex claims issues. Maintain industry knowledge, licensing requirements, and a strong presence within relevant business, civic, and professional organizations.
Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of Employee Benefits insurance experience. Demonstrated ability to develop new business and manage client relationships within the insurance industry. Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. Ability to consult with business clients on insurance coverage, risk management, renewals, and related solutions. Strong relationship-building, presentation, communication, and customer-service capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and ability to maintain required driving and insurance qualifications.
