Position: Junior Field Representative
Location: Northern California Region
Responsibilities: The Junior Field Representative works directly with the Health Education Supervisor 2 (HES2) to liaise between the Immunization Branch and local health jurisdictions, public and private providers, and the VFC program. Key duties include assessing immunization coverage rates, ensuring compliance with federal and state VFC requirements, promoting best practices for immunization services and the California Immunization Registry, and supporting Health Education Supervisor in achieving the branch’s goals. The role also involves assisting state and federal agencies, as well as public and private organizations, in activities related to the immunization program.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one year of related experience or equivalent training. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyze, interpret, and respond to client needs. Effective interpersonal skills to work with a diverse client group. Working knowledge of program design and delivery.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in developing and delivering health education programs and services. Knowledge of the CAIR Immunization Registry or similar systems. Familiarity with the Vaccine Assistance Program (VFC). Experience working in a public health department. Three years of professional administrative experience related to health facility management or public health operations. Valid California driver’s license.
