Location: Fairfield, OH
Pay: $19/hour starting
Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm (or completion)
About the Job:
The Bug Company is a leading supplier of feeder insects. We ship live insects for the pet industry. The Packaging Associate is a team member who is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping live insect orders with a strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and consistent execution. This position focuses on packaging our crickets in bulk amounts for shipping, so being comfortable working around and handling live insects is a requirement. We are building a stable, long-term team and are looking for dependable individuals who want consistent work and can make an impact.
What You’ll Do:
- Pack and prepare live bulk insect orders for shipment
- Ensure order accuracy before shipping
- Label and organize outgoing packages
- Safely load and unload shipments
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Follow safety and handling procedures at all times
- Operate basic equipment: tape guns, packaging tools, and materials safely and efficiently
- Work with a team to meet daily shipping goals
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing, bending, and repetitive movement throughout shift
- Comfortable working in hot, humid, dusty conditions
- Ability to safely handle live insects
- Safety & Work Environment

Schedule
Sunday–Thursday
Day shift: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM(Hours will fluctuate based on production schedules, shipping schedules, and company needs)
