Instead of just moving cash, senders can direct funds to exactly where they are meant to be spent, for example: groceries, school uniforms, medication, or a specific trusted vendor. Funds are sent and received by phone. Receivers spend it directly with approved local vendors via QR code, no bank account needed. Vendors get paid fast with no card terminal required.We're growing our network of approved vendors of groceries, pharmacies, apparel, and everyday shops across Jamaica, we need someone in New York City to help Jamaican senders see exactly what their money can do and get them excited to use MangoErrands instead of traditional remittance services.The RoleWe're hiring a Jamaican content creator based in NYC to be the voice of MangoErrands for the diaspora community. Your job is to connect with Jamaican senders in Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, the wider tri-state area and online, and show them why MangoErrands is smarter, more purposeful, and more personal than sending cash.You'll create content that tells the stories of the people sending money, the families receiving it, and the vendors making it all possible. You'll host community events, run promotions, and build a following of Jamaican senders who trust MangoErrands to deliver their hard-earned money with meaning.This is a hybrid content-creator / community-engagement / brand-ambassador role. You are equal parts storyteller, host, and hustler, and you deeply understand Jamaican culture, family, and the remittance experience.What You'll DoTell Sender Stories:Create content that resonates with the Jamaican diaspora, videos about why we send money home, the emotional weight of remittances, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing your money is going exactly where it's meant to. Interview senders in NYC, capture their stories, and turn them into content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and WhatsApp Status.Showcase the Impact:Show senders exactly what their money can do, highlight approved vendors in Jamaica, share receiver stories (with permission), and demonstrate how MangoErrands gives senders more control and transparency than Western Union or MoneyGram.Plan and Host Events in NYC:Organize and host community activations such as pop-ups at Jamaican restaurants, grocery stores, and cultural events in Brooklyn, Queens, and The Bronx. Be comfortable on camera and on a mic, engaging with the community, explaining the product, and building trust face-to-face.Build Diaspora Relationships:Connect with Jamaican community leaders, business owners, churches, and cultural organizations. Be the face of MangoErrands in the diaspora and keep the community engaged as active brand ambassadors.Run Promotions That Drive Sign-Ups:Design and run campaigns that get Jamaican senders to download the app and send their first transaction, handle referral pushes, limited-time incentives, and community challenges. Track what works and double down.Manage Content Calendar:Plan a steady cadence of content: sender spotlights, vendor features, event promotions, and cultural moments that matter to Jamaicans (Carnival, Independence, Christmas remittance season).Represent the Brand On the Ground:Attend Jamaican community events, markets, and cultural gatherings as the visible face of MangoErrands.
