About the role

Incline Search is looking for a Private Client Producer to join a start-up, tech-enabled retail brokerage focused on high-net-worth personal lines. This is a unique opportunity to get in early as the firm expands into New York, building a book with the backing of a well-funded team and a growing network of referral partners. The role is focused on new business production and benefits from proprietary technology that automates data intake and quoting, so you can spend less time on administrative work and more time building relationships. This role offers a base salary plus commission splits on new and renewal business that increase after validation, along with equity for every hire. Packages are tailored to experience. Our client will entertain established private client producers as well as earlier-career, tech-forward producers who are hungry to build.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and grow relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families to generate new business opportunities
  • Build referral relationships with centers of influence such as wealth managers, family offices and luxury real estate agents
  • Market and place personal lines accounts with private client carriers, negotiating terms and coverage on behalf of clients
  • Help establish the firm's presence in a new market as one of its first local hires
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, carrier appetites, and underwriting guidelines in the high-net-worth space
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a private client or high-net-worth personal lines producer
  • Direct experience writing private client policies; carrier or underwriting backgrounds considered if you have personally placed business
  • Strong knowledge of high-net-worth carriers and coverage
  • Comfortable in a start-up environment and with using technology to work more efficiently

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
