About the role

Sell alternative data and analytics that hedge funds already trust. Our client is a well-regarded, PE-backed capital markets data and analytics platform - established over 15 years, recently strengthened by a notable acquisition, and consumed daily by PMs, strategists and traders at many of the world's leading funds. Their edge is a live read on what other investors are actually doing - positioning, flows, sentiment and crowding - delivered as data, analytics and research. If you've sold alternative data, market intelligence, analytics or SaaS into front-office investors, this seat is built for your exact skill set: the buyer is the same, the subscription motion is the same, and the product education is theirs to give. The firm is building out New York. The model is already proven at scale, with a highly highly successful team in London. The NYC office is run by its founders - you'd sit alongside them with an open US territory, the full product suite, direct founder access and uncapped earnings. It's a high-cadence hunter's seat with real deal flow, where good salespeople put numbers on the board fast and get recognised for it.
Compensation: base $175,000-$250,000 + commission; indicative OTE ~$300,000-$450,000.
What you'll do: Own and grow a US client base across hedge funds, multi-manager platforms and active asset managers Win new business end to end - prospect, run the full cycle, close front-office subscribers (PMs, strategists, traders, quant teams)Carry and exceed a new-business revenue target with genuine deal velocity Turn positioning and flow data into credible conversations with sophisticated buyers Partner with the founders and London team to shape US strategy
What we're looking for: A proven new-business hunter with a track record of driving recurring revenue - subscription/ARR sales in alternative data, analytics, market intelligence or research Relationships across hedge funds and/or active asset managers (PMs, analysts, data-buying teams)Comfortable talking to portfolio managers about how they invest - the investment process as much as the product High discipline, energy, and a strong repeatable sales process Resourceful and self-driven - comfortable without big-firm scaffoldingNYC-based and authorised to work in the United States

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
