About the role
Owning and evolving the design system, the full-time Principal Design Engineer will manage component authoring, tooling between design and code, and infrastructure for AI agents, ensuring cross-platform consistency in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and evolve the design system, ensuring parity between design and code
Develop tooling that maintains alignment between design and code, including automated checks
Build infrastructure for AI agents to effectively utilize the design system
Required Qualifications:
6+ years in a hybrid design/frontend role, including experience in frontend engineering or design engineering
A portfolio showcasing both design and build contributions to a design system
Proficiency in production React and Type Script, with a strong understanding of component API design
Experience with Figma at an authoring level, including variables and design-to-code mapping
Hands-on experience writing agent skills and using Claude Code or equivalent tools
