Key Responsibilities:
- Makes deliveries on behalf of KHI as directed using a company-provided vehicle.
- Transports interoffice mail, business documents, supplies, medical equipment, and organizational materials between KRMC/KHI facilities and external locations.
- Picks up and delivers materials that may contain Protected Health Information (PHI) and maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Transports laboratory specimens in accordance with applicable safety, infection prevention, and chain-of-custody requirements in a prompt and timely manner.
- Transports sterile instruments and supplies while maintaining package integrity and preventing contamination.
- Transports contaminated instruments and other regulated materials using approved handling and transport procedures.
- Maintains accurate delivery logs, manifests, and chain-of-custody documentation as required.
- Verifies receipt and delivery of sensitive or regulated items.
- Conducts routine vehicle inspections and reports maintenance or safety concerns.
- Uses safe driving practices and complies with all traffic laws and organizational vehicle policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of department and organization
