Participates in shared responsibilities necessary for the daily operation of the laboratory. Maintains accurate and organized experimental records. Maintains laboratory supplies and inventory. Follows laboratory and USC safety requirements.
Required Qualifications: Candidate must have a B.S degree or higher in biology, molecular biology, developmental biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or a related field, with previous hands-on wet-laboratory research experience.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with standard laboratory procedures, equipment, and research practices
  • Hands-on experience with molecular biology, cell culture, histology, microscopy, or related experimental techniques is desirable.
  • Experience conducting research experiments and troubleshooting experimental procedures.
  • Experience working independently on a research project or a defined component of a larger project is preferred.
  • Experience with transgenic mouse colony management and/or mouse procedures is a plus
The hourly rate range for this position is $24.25/hr. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
