About the role
Overview We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager with 8+ years of related experience in civil site development, preferably with project experience in the Puget Sound area. The ideal candidate will hold a P.E. license in Washington State and bring extensive experience managing complex, multi-phased site development projects for sectors such as K-12 and Higher Education. This role requires a candidate who can work directly with clients, architects, and jurisdictions and take full ownership of projects from initial concepts through design, permitting, and construction coordination.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing technical design, coordinating permitting strategies, managing project budgets and schedules, and maintaining strong client relationships. Projects will span a variety of sectors, including K-12 and Higher Education Facilities, Healthcare, Commercial and Office developments, Municipal, and more.
This position is a full-time hybrid role that offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package. Candidates applying must have the ability to commute to our downtown Seattle office a minimum of three times per week and to job sites as needed.

Essential Responsibilities Manage all phases of civil engineering projects, including client coordination, design oversight, permitting, and construction support
Lead internal project teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and compliant civil site designs
Coordinate directly with clients, architects, consultants, and public agencies
Prepare, review, and oversee the production of design documents, calculations, technical reports, and specifications
Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and proposals to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions, monitor construction progress, and address field issues
Supervise and mentor junior staff by offering technical guidance and supporting their professional development
Oversee stormwater design and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and participate in business development efforts
Identify potential project risks and proactively manage solutions to reduce liability
Candidate Qualifications and Attributes Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Washington State, or ability to obtain within one year
A minimum of 8 years of site development experience, plus experience in project management and planning
Proficiency in Civil3D, stormwater modeling (MGS Flood or WWHM), and plan production
Strong knowledge of local codes, stormwater regulations, permitting processes, and site design standards
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven client relationship management
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic work environment
Experience using Bluebeam for document production and review
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Salary and Compensation for this Position $120,000 - $160,000 / year (DOE)
