Overview In this Senior Java Developer role, you will drive AI-augmented development to support high-volume, transactional systems across business lines. You’ll join a cross-functional team to design, build, and enhance mission-critical applications and leverage AI tools to boost productivity and code quality. The position blends hands-on coding with collaboration on architectural standards and Dev Ops practices. This is a hybrid role based in White Plains, NY, offering a transformational opportunity to shape scalable, cloud-native solutions. Responsibilities Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, PMO, Dev Ops and other developers to design and develop mission-critical applications Leverage AI development tools to improve coding efficiency, code review, testing, and documentation Analyze, design and develop application solutions and enhancements meeting requirements Ensure adherence to programming and enterprise architectural standards Complete work assignments and follow up to ensure timely delivery Work with product owners, users, and creative teams to define requirements and develop web applications Assist in rollout of new applications, fixes, and enhancements Partner with AI-focused leads to continuously improve development workflows Key requirements 5+ years programming with Java (backend focus)Experience with Java-based enterprise technologies, Java 8+, Microservices, Spring, RESTProficiency in Java, Spring, SQL with cloud-native solutions (AWS)Proven CI/CD development experience Experience with Eclipse/IntelliJ, Git, Maven, CI servers, Azure Dev Ops (or similar)Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and Microservices in Spring ecosystem Experience with Spring Data access using AWS RDS or NoSQL storesAPI design and implementation knowledge Conceptual understanding of containers (Docker, AWS ECS)Analytical, problem-solving mindset Self-driven with minimal supervision Experience on production-critical systems Willingness to learn and integrate AI tools into development workflows Analytical thinking Problem-solving Self-motivated / autonomous Java SpringREST
