Locum OrthodontistRSMC is seeking a Locum Orthodontist for an 8–12-week assignment with the client. This role focuses on high-quality orthodontic care for children, with strong team support and predictable patient flow. Position Highlights 8–12-week locum contract starting mid-January 4-day workweek (consistent schedule)Daily rate: $1,400–$1,800/day Local Maryland providers only (travel/lodging not provided)Mileage reimbursement Patient load: 50–60 total patients/day for 3 dentists Expected: 1–2 ortho starts per day
Key Responsibilities: Provide diagnosis and comprehensive orthodontic treatment plans Deliver high-quality orthodontic care using accepted clinical techniques Support children and their parents in developing strong oral health habits Lead and collaborate with an engaged orthodontic clinical team Refer patients to dental specialists when appropriate Maintain a clean, safe, and patient-focused environment Ensure full compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, Dental Board, and all regulatory standards
Requirements: Passion for improving children's oral health Active Maryland dental license (pending accepted if close to issuance)Board-eligible or certified by the American Board of Orthodontics (preferred)Strong interpersonal skills and professional communication Organized and clinically knowledgeable in orthodontics Ability to commit to 4 days/week for the full 8–12 week duration
