About the role
Director of Engineering – Power Infrastructure A growing energy infrastructure business is looking for a senior engineering leader to support large-scale power projects for data centres and other high-demand customers. The role will lead engineering from early development through construction support, with a focus on behind-the-meter generation, battery storage and hybrid power solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead technical design and engineering across power projects
- Assess project feasibility, risk and constructability
- Work with EPCs, OEMs, utilities and external engineering partners
- Review technical designs, equipment selections and engineering contracts
- Support procurement, commercial discussions and project delivery
- Develop engineering standards and repeatable project solutions
Candidate profile:
- 12+ years in power generation or energy infrastructure
- Experience with gas generation, turbines, engines, fuel cells and/or BESSStrong EPC/EPCM and large-project delivery experience
- Comfortable working across engineering, development and commercial teams
- Strong communicator with commercial awareness
