Behavioral Health TechnicianA Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct support and care to individuals with mental health, behavioral, or substance use disorders. They assist in implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient behavior, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. BHTs work closely with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help patients develop coping skills and achieve their treatment goals. Responsibilities may include observing and documenting patient progress, leading therapeutic activities, de-escalating crisis situations, and providing emotional support. Strong communication, patience, and empathy are essential for success in this role.

Location: Gateway Regional Medical Center 2100 Madison Ave. Granite City, IL 62040 Position Status: Full-time
Work Schedule: Nights, 12hr shifts
Education Qualifications
Required: High School Graduate or equivalent
Certification Qualifications
Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant
Required: Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
Required: Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training course (CPI) required within 1 month of hire date
Experience Qualifications: Previous Behavioral Health experience preferred

Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $16.20 - 24.30 per hour.
