About the role
Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys solving problems and building things that aren't off the shelf? We're looking for a Junior Technician to join our team, working on customised enclosures, diagnosing returned products, and making fair, accurate warranty decisions.
About the role:
You'll support non-standard production activity, build bespoke enclosures to specification, and investigate why returned items failed. You'll work closely with production, quality, engineering and customer support to make sure every product is built, assessed and repaired to a high standard.
What you'll do:
- Build, modify and rework non-standard products to technical specifications and quality requirements
- Assemble customised enclosures with accuracy and attention to detail
- Diagnose faults on returned items using test equipment, technical documentation and structured problem-solving
- Identify failure modes, root causes and the right corrective action
- Assess warranty claims and make decisions based on technical findings, product condition, usage evidence and warranty policy
- Record inspection results, test data and warranty outcomes clearly and on time
- Work with engineering, production, quality and customer-facing teams to resolve technical issues
- Spot recurring product or process issues and feed back ideas to improve reliability, manufacturability and serviceability
- Support the training of colleagues on complex builds, diagnostics and warranty assessment
- Contribute to improvements that reduce returns and speed up turnaround times
- Work safely and in line with quality and compliance standards
What we're looking for:
Experience in a technician, manufacturing, production, service or warranty-related technical role Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, pneumatic, electrical or electro-mechanical productsExperience building and assembling customised enclosures or similar bespoke productsExperience with returned goods, repair assessment or warranty claims evaluation
