Transportation SupervisorUnitex is experiencing unprecedented growth! Due to this growth, we are in search of a highly skilled Transportation Supervisor for our facility in Lawrence, MA.
Compensation: the salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 8:00am 6:30 pm Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Recruits and trains all driversInteracts with our full-service leasing company to ensure proper maintenance of all vehiclesSupervises payroll, truck leasing and fuel budgetsSupervises work performance and results of all driversSets effective schedules to operate within budgetPrioritizes work effectivelySets high expectations and goalsTakes responsibility for achieving performance resultsFollows through to completion of work projectsAssures employees follow Unitex policies and proceduresSupervises and coordinates all company safety proceduresBuilds effective customer relationships and resolves issues in timely waysTremendous growth potentialJob Requirements:2+ years of successful transportation management experience with proven resultsMUST HAVE Class A or B CDL and supervisory experienceExperience managing people in a fast-paced, time-sensitive settingComplete knowledge of DOT requirementsIndependent thinker and decision maker that requires minimal supervisionProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and basic PC skillsJoin Unitex and become part of a winning team.
