About the role

Role Overview: Acts as a pharmacist at the retail pharmacy, delivering accurate, safe medication services, evaluating prescriptions, consulting with healthcare professionals, and counseling patients and physicians. Responsible for pharmacy operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities: Interpret prescriptions, assess drug interactions, and ensure proper medication dispensing. Process prescriptions via phone or in-person, review patient profiles for sensitivities and contraindications. Enter patient data and insurance information for accurate profiles and billing. Provide counseling to ensure correct medication use and patient adherence. Resolve prescribing issues, suggest formulary substitutions, and coordinate pharmacy activities. Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring work accuracy and professional standards. Consult with physicians on drug therapy, formulary status, and medication details. Prepare specialized medications, including compounding and sterile products, using aseptic techniques. Assist in inventory management and pharmacy operations, contributing to process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required, with knowledge of pharmaceutical care, drug interactions, and sterile compounding. Strong supervisory, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
