About the role
A top-performing global multi-strategy hedge fund is looking to add a Portfolio Risk professional to its New York investment business amid significant growth across its US trading strategies. This is genuine front-office risk. You’ll work directly with Portfolio Managers and Traders, challenging portfolios, dissecting risk and helping shape how capital is deployed across the firm.
What You’ll Do:
Partner with PMs on portfolio construction, exposures, concentration, leverage, liquidity and emerging risks Interrogate positions, P&L and strategies through stress testing, scenario analysis and quantitative risk analytics Build and enhance the models, tools and infrastructure used to manage risk across trading businesses Bring an independent risk perspective to portfolio decisions and investment discussions You’re a Good Fit If You Have: Market or portfolio risk experience within a hedge fund, prop firm or investment bank Strong cross-asset knowledge across liquid markets and trading strategies Excellent quantitative skills, including hands-on Python and SQLThe credibility to challenge sophisticated Portfolio Managers and Traders Why Now?
