ABOUT THE ROLE:
Makeup By Mario is looking for a Director, Retailer.com to own and grow our business across our online retail partner digital channels globally. This role is the connective tissue between Makeup By Mario and retail teams and will lead all digital retail needs across domestic and international markets. This person will report into the Senior Director, Trade Marketing & Events to drive traffic, conversion, and sales growth across our retail partner business as part of a fully connected omni-channel strategy.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Retail Partnership Serve as the primary e-commerce lead for online retail partners globally, building senior-level relationships to influence digital priorities and secure share of site. Own the Sephora.com relationship across US and international markets (Sephora EMEA, Middle East, Asia, Canada, Mexico), navigating the differences in site capability, merchandising standards, and market calendars. Host monthly calls with each retailer to confirm newness product launches and core re-promotions, site updates, and advocate for exposures across app, site, and email. Issue detailed recaps post meeting to ensure consistent communication. Commercial Strategy & Business Growth Drive retailer.com business development and digital acceleration to achieve sales, penetration and brand rank goals. Build the annual and seasonal retailer.com plan, including forecast inputs, investment asks, and exposure targets by market. Partner with cross-functional teams to build joint marketing calendars, align on product launch timing, onsite activation opportunities, digital promotions, sampling, GWPs and media campaigns. Connect retailer.com strategy to the broader omni-channel business, ensuring alignment with DTC, brick-and-mortar retail, and social commerce so pricing, assortment, promotion, and storytelling are consistent across every touchpoint. Digital Merchandising Experience Lead the digital merchandise briefing ensuring retailer best-in-class guidelines are met, all global localization needs are outlined, and timelines are accurately shared cross-functionally. Responsible for the execution and upload of all digital needs to retailer sites, including PDP copy, imagery, video, UGC content, search optimizations, and shade matching tools (ColorIQ, Shade Finder, etc.)Routinely monitor quality assurance on retailer sites for accuracy in all product pages, branded features, and onsite exposures. Escalating issues when necessary. Manage product page optimization strategies for core collections to improve traffic and visibility, conversion, and overall brand aesthetic. Benchmark our PDPs against leading artistry brands, identifying gaps in claims, shade education, complexion range presentation, artist credibility, and how-to content, and build the roadmap to close them. Monitor the competitive landscape, emerging trends, and retailer site capabilities and share learnings cross-functionally. Media Collaboration & Analytics Pitch for participation in retailer digital media programs (on-site & off-site) and partner with Paid Media on planning and execution. Measure and report digital KPI results: traffic, conversion & sales. Own the reporting cadence on program performance, sales trends, product visibility, and turn it into actionable recommendations.
