About the role
Job Title: Construction QA/QC Program Engineer
Location: Montgomery, AL (Onsite, 5 Days/Week)
Duration: 12+ Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced Construction QA/QC Program Engineer to support large-scale data center and mission-critical infrastructure construction projects. This role will serve as a key quality representative on-site, ensuring construction quality standards, commissioning requirements, and project deliverables are achieved across multiple active projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in construction quality assurance/quality control, commissioning, contractor management, and mission-critical facilities while partnering closely with construction, design, engineering, and operations stakeholders
Responsibilities:
Lead and support QA/QC activities for data center and mission-critical construction projects.
Monitor quality metrics, identify trends, and drive corrective actions to improve project performance.
Collaborate with design, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to resolve quality issues.
Review construction documentation, test procedures, commissioning plans, and quality deliverables.
Support startup, energization, turnover, and commissioning activities.
Conduct field inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project quality standards.
Manage contractor and vendor quality performance and drive issue resolution.
Develop reports, dashboards, and project status updates for stakeholders.
Participate in project meetings and provide guidance on quality-related risks and mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in QA/QC programs for data centers or mission-critical construction projects.
Experience supporting commissioning, startup, energization, and turnover activities.
Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Piping (MAP) systems.
Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build project delivery methods.
Experience working with contractors, consultants, and vendors.
Understanding of mission-critical power, cooling, and infrastructure systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting hyperscale or large campus data center construction programs.
Exposure to Civil, Structural, Landscape, and Architectural (CSLA) disciplines.
Strong reporting, dashboarding, and quality metrics experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
