About the Role: The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to take on a pivotal role in building and leading the finance function. This is a hands-on position for a candidate who is capable of and interested in creating a robust finance department from the ground up. The successful candidate will be responsible for all financial aspects, including but not limited to, month-end close, reconciliations, payment runs, and reporting. They will also be tasked with designing the final state of the finance function, hiring and developing a team, and implementing necessary systems. The role demands a strategic partner to the CEO and operating leaders, with a focus on planning and analysis, management reporting, sales and operations planning, and treasury and capital management. Applicants for the Vice President of Finance role at the company should have a proven track record of building or significantly rebuilding a finance function, preferably in a company with revenue between $10M and $75M. The ideal candidate will be adept at financial modeling, cost accounting, and have the technical competence to manage inventory costing and multi-entity consolidation. Experience in multi-site or multi-state operations, as well as with lender, investor, or board reporting, is essential. While not required, familiarity with cannabis and Section 280E is valued.
