Operations Support Specialist / Scheduler
Location: Rockville, MD
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 4 months with potential for permanent placement We are working with a growing healthcare organization seeking an Operations Support Specialist / Scheduler to support daily operations and ensure all client shifts are properly staffed. This is a fast-paced, customer-focused position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage changing priorities. The ideal candidate will be dependable, proactive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team.
Responsibilities: Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries professionally Transfer calls and relay messages to appropriate staff Manage scheduling changes and communicate updates Staff new client cases and monitor client schedules Communicate with clients, families, and caregivers Relay relevant care plan information to caregivers Document calls, scheduling updates, and other pertinent information Enter and maintain client schedules in internal systems Upload and maintain documents using Share Point Support other departments during non-business hours as needed Help ensure all available shifts are appropriately staffed
Qualifications: 1–3 years of office or administrative experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Computer savvy with experience using cloud-based platforms Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to manage conflict and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with recruiting or staff scheduling is a plus Healthcare or home care experience is a plus Bachelor’s degree preferred
