About the role
- Safely load and unload Traffic Control Equipment according to department standards
- Place traffic control devices correctly to assure traffic moves through construction and maintenance zones safely, duties may vary according to job assignment.
- Perform maintenance on Traffic Control equipment and inform management of any safety concerns or problems.
- Perform temporary and permanent striping per Traffic control plan.
- Read, understand, and follow Traffic Control plan, maps and records to assure that the Traffic Control equipment are in the proper positions on the project.
- Operate company equipment, such as bobcat and skidloader, and other vehicles.
- Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service.
- Frequently lift/move sandbags and other materials weighing between 25-75 pounds
- Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and
- Previous experience in traffic control or related field, orEquivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to get CDL within 6 months of employment.
- Must have good driving record to meet insurability requirements to drive company vehicles
