JOB SUMMARY: The Sample Packing & Frozen Operations Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently repacking frozen, liquid, and dry food products while maintaining strict compliance with food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards. This role supports order fulfillment, frozen product picking, inventory accuracy, and light assembly and kitting operations across ambient, refrigerated, and frozen environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Repacks frozen, liquid, and dry food products according to job specifications. Maintains compliance with Safe Quality Food (SQF), food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Properly handles and monitors temperature-sensitive products throughout subpacking and picking processes. Inspects products for defects, accuracy, and conformance to specifications prior to packaging. Packages materials into appropriate containers (envelopes, cartons, boxes) following packing requirements. Examines completed packages to ensure accuracy, neatness, and compliance with company standards. Accurately picks frozen product orders from freezer storage. Performs physical inventory counts to verify stock accuracy. Stocks shelf locations, bulk pick locations, and supply areas as needed. Performs label verification to ensure products are labeled correctly. Maintains accurate production records and operational documentation to comply with SQF requirements.
Secondary Responsibilities: Assists with picking and packing client orders for shipment. Supports kitting and assembly projects as assigned. Assists other Project Fulfillment functions as operational needs require.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior experience in a warehouse, production, or food handling environment preferred, but not required. Basic mathematical skills. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching. Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling and packaging materials. Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds regularly. Ability to work in freezer and refrigerated environments for extended periods. Visual acuity sufficient to perform inspection, labeling, and quality control tasks. Exposure to wet or humid conditions and extreme cold/freezer environments. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and elevated work areas. Warehouse temperatures may vary depending on outdoor conditions. PPE Required Cold weather protective gear provided when working in freezer environments.
