About the role
A New York City-based architecture and design firm with 30+ staff is seeking an Intermediate Architect with approximately 4–7 years of professional experience to join its team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical design and production capabilities, with previous experience working on corporate interiors, workplace projects, and/or tenant fit-outs. Hybrid work schedule - 4 days in office, 1 day remote.
Responsibilities:
Support various projects throughout all phases of design Produce and coordinate architectural construction drawings and documentation Develop projects from design development through construction documents Coordinate drawings with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams Assist with detailing, material selections, and technical documentation Review project requirements and help ensure drawings comply with applicable codes and standards Support project teams throughout construction administration as needed Manage multiple project responsibilities while meeting schedules and deadlines
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture Approximately 4–7 years of professional architectural experience Prior experience with corporate interiors, workplace design, and/or tenant fit-out projects Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required Demonstrated ability to independently produce accurate and comprehensive construction drawings Solid understanding of architectural detailing and construction methods Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment
